Utah Tech Council Names Jason Taylor of Allegiance CTO of the Year

SALT LAKE CITY – April 17, 2013 – Allegiance, a provider of VOCi (Voice of Customer Intelligence) technology and services, announced today that Jason Taylor, executive vice president of development and technology, has been awarded CTO of the Year by the Utah Tech Council. The award was presented on April 12, 2013, at the organization’s annual meeting with 300 in attendance.

Utah’s premier professional association, the Utah Technology Council (UTC) fosters the growth of the state’s 7,000 technology companies. The CTO of the Year is awarded to an outstanding CTO of a successful Utah company who is also actively participating in the UTC by attending the CTO forums, helping to grow and protect the industry by sharing best practices with his peers. Taylor has been a presenter at the CTO forum as well as an active participant.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Utah Tech Council,” said Taylor. “As CTO’s in Utah, we need to strive to learn from one another with the objective of not collectively making any mistake twice. By understanding one another’s successes and failures, we strengthen the competitive advantage of our Silicon Slopes.” 

Taylor has been an engineering leader for almost two decades with enterprise companies including Novell and Omniture (an Adobe company). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University and an Executive MBA from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.
