About Vegan Divas NYC:

Journalist and native of the “meat country” Brazil, Fernanda Capobianco managed and owned the Payard Restaurant and Pastry Shops in Rio de Janeiro. There, Fernanda developed recipes for delicious desserts free of eggs and sugar. Fernanda opted to use all-natural organic & fresh ingredients: Exotic fruits such as passion fruit, açai, and cupuaçu.

Capobianco also became an active board member of New York Coalition of Healthy School Foods, a non-profit organization that delivers healthy meals to NYC public schools. Frequently visiting schools where chicken nuggets and burgers were served on a daily basis to the kids, Fernanda who lost her dad with diabetes in her young age, realized a health crisis.

In 2010, Capobianco founded an upscale Vegan, animal-free, cholesterol-free, organic, kosher, parve, and low-calorie and delicious line of baked goods and desserts.

The Vegan Divas flagship store opened on New York’s Upper East Side in Summer 2012.
