Steve Stengell is scheduled to speak at the 2013 Utica Shale Congress in Columbus, Ohio as an industry expert in the area of landowner relations.

Mr. Stengell is President CEO of Encore Energy, Inc., specializing in lease acquisition, brokerage services and development of the Utica Shale play of Eastern Ohio.

Encore has facilitated multiple oil and gas lease transactions with major Utica Shale operator(s) while planning future operations of their own. Encore currently represents 16,000 acres with 8,000 potential add-on acres in western Washington, Eastern Athens and northern Meigs counties, Ohio “available for lease” along with select tracts in Noble, Guernsey, Monroe, northern Washington and Morgan counties.  In addition to Utica lease acreage, Encore also represents “shallow oil” producing properties for sale in Ohio including a 1,600 – 2,000 BO / month, 2,500-acre tract in Pickaway County, Ohio.

As the former President CEO of publicly traded exploration and production company with 50+ employees, $27 million in annual revenue, Allied Operating Texas and Oklahoma , Mr. Stengell has demonstrated leadership by achieving record growth in revenue, assets, and earnings for 2008, 2009 and 2010 and was awarded the Bowling Green “2010 Business of the Year” Community Impact Award.  Mr. Stengell attended the 2004 IPAA Harvard Executive Management Program and completed the 2006 Texas A & M Harold Vance School of Petroleum Engineering “Reserves and Evaluation” Graduate Certificate Program.   Mr. Stengell holds a bachelor of corporate finance from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Western Kentucky University.
