San Diego Father’s Day Festival 2013

8:00 am – 6:00 p.m.

Hundreds of families are expected at the scenic Nobel Park for a day of exercise, entertainment, shopping, food and activities and to show fathers how much they are appreciated.  Sponsored and hosted by the San Diego Classic Lions Club and The Kids of America, the day begins at 8:00 a.m. following with a beautiful 5 k walk and stopping at the Miramar National Cemetery for ten minutes and delivery flowers on the graves of our fallen fathers whom served in our country armed forces.  Followed the walk there will be fun throughout the day.

Activities include:  A shopping for dads, community awareness for health issues, home repairs, electronic recycling fundraiser at Office Depot in Mission Valley, Art gallery for the kids, fun zone.

Entry into the festival is FREE to the public; featuring: music, exhibitors, non-profit organization, family activity workshops, home improvement workshops, Hot Dog Eating contest, art activities for all ages and a scavenger hunt. 

The event benefits the San Diego Classic Lions Club projects.

8:00 a.m.     Walk Registration begins

8:45 a.m.      Color Guard Ceremony

9:30 a.m.     Opening ceremony – Walk Kicks Off-

10:30 a.m.   Father’s Day Festival Open

11:00 a.m.    Santa Brothers

11:15 a.m.     Basketball Tournament (Dads -vs- Kids and Moms)

12:00 p.m.   Mr. Rich McGee Band

12:45 p.m.   Award Recognitions

1:00 p.m.     Rafael Harp

2:00 p.m.     White Snake Tribute Band

2:45 p.m.     Hot Dog Eating Contest

3:00 p.m.     Roni Lee

4:00 p.m.     Roxy King

5:00 p.m.     Taste Machine

6:00 p.m.     Festival ends

Participants are encouraged to help us help fathers in need.  They can raise funds by asking friends, family, co-workers and businesses to sponsor them.
