in Press Releases

“Quest of the Keys,” the inspirational young adult fantasy fiction penned by author and leadership consultant Scotty Sanders, was released as an audio book on November 6, 2013.

The audio book is narrated by B.J. Harrison, who boasts eight million downloads for his “The Classic Tales Podcast” and more than 700 five-star ratings on Audible.com and iTunes Music Store. His podcast for Joseph Conrad’s “The Heart of Darkness” reached 100,000 downloads and was rated No. 3 overall on Audible.com. “Quest of the Keys” is incredibly polished, and every sentence does exactly what it is intended to do. The story moves so quickly it’s incredible, yet you never feel confused or unsure of where you are. It is a great pleasure and privilege to be a part of this work.”

“I am looking forward to the launch of the Quest of the Keys audio book and I am equally excited to have B.J. Harrison join the team as the book’s narrator,” says Sanders, who has been cited as the Louisiana Entrepreneur of the Year and Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year for his achievements in the corporate world.

“We auditioned 19 people for this project and when I heard B.J.’s voice, I knew he was the one we were looking for who would give life to the Quest of the Keys characters,” explains Sanders of Harrison, who can speak in more than 20 international accents.

“Quest of the Keys” tells the story of Decklen, a young man who is given a locked golden cylinder that contains an ancient scroll after he narrowly escapes a life of slavery—and certain death—in the Minca Silver Mines. His task is to search for the hidden keys that will unlock the true secrets to success. More than just a fantasy fiction, the “Quest of the Keys” is a reader’s journey towards personal growth, responsibility, integrity, honor, leadership development, and clear purpose.

The books positive lessons did not escape the keen eyes of educators and was, in fact, piloted in the Ouachita Parish middle schools in Louisiana last spring as part of the English language arts curriculum. The “Quest of the Keys” teacher resources are currently being used in a growing number of school systems across the country, including in home schools.

A “Quest of the Keys” Teacher’s Resources is also now available, which gives instructors a more in-depth background material relating to vocabulary, comprehension, and written expressions and response. The curriculum is praised for helping students deal with real issues, such as bullying and critical thinking, to name a few.

“‘Quest of the Keys’ began from my passion to encourage and empower the next generation to live well. Providing them knowledge to be successful is vital. Because the next generation is ‘story’ driven, they tend to search for a cause in which to believe,” says Sanders about his book, which is now on its second printing.

With a fantasy fiction format that greatly appeals to its young audience, the audio book will all the more catch the attention of its readers for its ease of use and impact.
