PRESS RELEASE: Vancouver- Indian Bollywood Movie ” Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”, set to be released Worldwide on July 12th, has been banned by Pakistan Film Board, with an excuse of a dialogue in the movie where  Flying Sikh Milkha Singh, refuses to go to Pakistan as the tragic memories of India-Pakistan Partition are a burden on his mind, where he among Millions lost their relatives in the violence, which took place, in August 1947, a dark period of History on the Birth of two New Nations.

Indian Overseas Congress, in their meeting held in Vancouver BC, has written a request to Prime Minister of Pakistan Janab MM.Nawaz Sharif and Begum Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif, to Lift the Ban on the Movie by Pakistan Film Board, instead invite the Family and Cabinet to witness the history created by Milkha Singh, who was born in Faislabad Pakistan.

IOC President emailed the Request to Prime Minister of Pakistan Office, including the Embassy in Washington DC and High Commission , in Ottawa, “Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, himself is a sportsman and he will lift the Ban” said IOC President Vikram Bajwa.

Indians and Pakistani’s across United States and Canada, will throng the movie theatres on July 12th , to see the real life story of Flying Sikh. Actor Yograj Singh, thanked IOC for taking the initiative to request Pakistan Prime Minister and feels, “Only Sports can build relations, between India and Pakistan”, which can usher Peace and business relations between Two Punjabs, one in India and the other in Pakistan”. Yograj further added, when the ban is lifted I’ll go to Pakistan with friends and watch the movie in Lahore, with Pakistan Cricket Team, taking his son Cricketer Yuvraj, and others to Pakistan for the weekend.

IOC General Secretary Sunil Malhotra, has also written to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and AICC President Sonia Gandhi, to assist in the matter.
