LIGHTNING RELEASES: NEW YORK (9/10/2014)– Bronx native and legendary dance/pop and salsa singer, George LaMond, celebrates his 25th musical anniversary on October 24, 2014, at Resorts World Casino NYC, with a two-hour concert event. Backed by a 12-piece band, LaMond will share the experience of his musical journey from  the Billboard Hot 100 chart mega-hit, “Bad of the Heart,” to his #1 salsa smash, “Que Te Vas,” and recent chart topping radio hit, “Don’t Stop Believing,” along with selections from his six plus album releases. LaMond will also debut various never heard tracks from his forthcoming album due in early 2015.

Fellow music stars Frankie J and K7 have confirmed their attendance and will join LaMond for special on-stage performances, as well as some special surprises.

“I’m so excited to debut my 25th Anniversary stage show with a full 12-piece band, it’s something my fans have requested for so many years” said LaMond.  “This high-energy show will bring every attendee closer to all of my hits along with some of my favorite never-before-performed selections from the many albums I’ve been blessed to have been a part of.”  LaMond added, “I’ve also invited a few close musical friends to help make the night even more special!”

The concert was specifically created to thank fans, the music industry, and media for their many years of continued support by showcasing LaMond’s signature vocals in a LIVE one-of-a-kind show accompanied by interactive media highlights of his career.

George LaMond has released has released 7 albums (5 via Sony Music) between 1989-2014. Best known for his 1989 #25 Billboard debut, “Bad of the Heart,” to his #1 Salsa smash, “Que Te Vas” (which spawned an RIAA-certified Gold album) to his more recent (2008) top 5 radio hit, “Don’t Stop Believing,”  George’s name is no stranger to the music world.  Dedicated fans often refer to him as the “King of ‘Freestyle’,” a genre he helped define between 1988-1993.
