Maurer Adds to an Impressive List of Recent Accomplishments, Including Both an AV Preeminent® Rating by Martindale-Hubbell® and Superb Rating by

ORLANDO, Florida (June 4, 2013) –Michael D. Maurer, a lawyer based in Orlando, Florida, whose primary areas of practice are personal injury and wrongful death, has recently obtained Board Certification by The Florida Bar in Civil Trial Law.

According to The Florida Bar, Board certified lawyers have met the Bar’s highest standards. These standards encompass special knowledge, skills and proficiency in the law as well as professionalism and ethics. To become certified, a lawyer’s experience and competency must be rigorously evaluated, and no matter how much experience a lawyer may have, only board certified civil trial lawyers are allowed to refer to themselves as specialists or experts.

Maurer adds board certification to other recent accomplishments, including an AV Preeminent® rating by the world’s largest lawyer rating service, Martindale-Hubbell®.  According to Martindale-Hubbell®, this is the highest possible rating and is a significant rating accomplishment – a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. The Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from confidential evaluations of lawyers by other members of the Bar and the judiciary in the United States.

Maurer also recently attained a “10/10 Superb” rating by another national lawyer rating service,  Avvo ratings are based not only on peer reviews, but client reviews as well.

Colleague and veteran prosecutor Raymond Dominick commented on the news, “I know Mike from his days as a prosecutor when we were both just starting out. He quickly found his passion by being in the courtroom. Not bad for a guy who almost didn’t finish college because of an intense fear of public speaking. You should ask him about his first speech class . . .”

Before joining The Trial Professionals, P.A. in 2012, Maurer gained extensive trial experience both as a state prosecutor and as an insurance defense attorney, where he represented large insurance companies in the defense of personal injury claims. In 2011, he was a guest instructor at the prestigious National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) at Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C.

Noted Amy Rosenfelt, Firm Administrator for The Trial Professionals and member of the Association of Legal Administrators: “As far as we can tell from our inquiries, he [Maurer] received the board certification and AV rating much faster than many attorneys. We’re proud of him and happy to have him as part of our team.”

Maurer is a 2005 graduate of Barry University School of Law and has been licensed since 2006. He also holds an active law license in North Carolina.
